Gruden is playing his starters one series, so the fact that LB-Brooks didn't make trip is inconsequential. Gruden says Shaun King will relieve Johnson and play into Q3 when rookie, Phil, I mean, Chris Simms comes in and mops up. Herm Edwards says his starters will play 'one good series.' I haven't been able to find the rest of the Jets QB rotation and would appreciate that info. If Vinnie is going to play for a while, I'll take him and the more 'hungry to impress Jet' over King and the highly satisfied/complacent SB champs.

Pennington was limping a bit after practice but it doesnt appear serious.

It appears Vinnie won't play: "RB Curtis Martin won't play in the game and Jets backup QB Vinny Testaverde said he probably won't play, either, because Edwards wants to look at third-stringer Brooks Bollinger and long shot Marquel Blackwell."

I'd have to take Shaun King and Chris Simms over Bollinger and Blackwell. Small lean to TB.
